Groover succeeds Davison as Princeton fire chief

Terrence Davison resigned Tuesday from the position of Princeton chief, Fire Commissioner Richard C. Woodbridge said Monday. He been succeeded by Clinton W. Groover, formerly first assistant chief a member of Mercer Engine Co. No. 3.

Thomas Hagadorn and Peter Hodge now serve as first and second assistant chiefs, Mr. Woodbridge said.

Mr. Davison will continue to serve with Princeton Hook and Ladder. He resigned to devote more time to his job and family, according to Chief Groover, who cited the heavy workload of the chiefs position.

“It’s a hectic job. I’ve found that out already within the first week,” Chief Groover said.
