Borough’s Problem

Letter to the editor, by James G. Martin, Assistant Borough Engineer

On November 7 Princeton Borough’s Public Works Garage experienced a major fire. Two dump trucks out of a total fleet of four were damaged beyond repair.

Numerous other miscellaneous equipment was damaged. Princeton Township has loaned the Borough a dump truck and Princeton Regional School system has loaned the
Borough a pickup truck. Although the Public Works Department was back to full operations in 24 hours, it is still experiencing difficulties related to. last week’s fire.

Leaf pickup will be on the same schedule. However, production may suffer. The Borough of Princeton would like to ask its residents to please be patient through these
difficult times. Leaf pickup for the week starting November 19 will start at Harrison Street and continue west to Washington Road and Witherspoon Street.

The Borough of Prince ton would also like to take this time to thank the Township, the Regional Schools, Princeton University and Lawrence Township for all the help and support they have given.
