Halloween Parade a festive tradition

To the editor:

It was a wonderful Hometown Halloween parade! Community events like this help to make Princeton a culturally invigorating place to live and work.

All those who contributed to the parade mirror the wide community participation which made this event such a success. Kathleen Prezio-sis designed the flyers and posters, and assisted with distribution. Mark Freda assisted with securing the bright, shiny fire engine to entertain the children. The music was skillfully provided by members of the Princeton University Band, organized through David Thom, class of ’96 president. The parade was headed up by Town Crier Rip Pelaton and Mayor Marvin Reed. Lt. Anthony Federico and members of the Princeton Borough Police Department provided traffic and crowd control, and Jody Hoffman of the Nassau Inn provided refreshments for all the children on the Nassau Green.

Thanks to all who participated in one of Princeton’s most festive traditions!
