House painter injured in fall

A 38-year-old Trenton man injured Wednesday morning when he fell from the peak of a Williams Street residence to its front porch roof, according to police. The victim of the fall, Tariq Siddiqi, reportedly ran into a nest of bees while he was painting.

“He got attacked by bees and lost his balance,” said Jerry Nasile, Mr. Sddiqi’s employer at the Trenton-based J.G Nasile Painting Co.

Police said Mr. Siddiqi suffered a compound fracture of the left ankle and is hospitalized at the Medical Center at Princeton.

“He’ll be fine. He did take a bad fall.” said Mr. Nasile of Mr. Sidiqi’s condition. He added that his employee will probably be off work for some time while recuperating.

When the accident occured about 9:30 a.m., the Princeton First Aid Squad transported Mr. Siddiqi to the medical center after the Princeton Fire Department used its tower ladder truck to get him down from scene of the accident, police said.

Hospital representatives did not have any word on Mr. Siddiqi’s condition at press time.
