The council approved Wednesday the appointments of Donald A. Snyder as auxiliary member and Bryan S. Boccanfusco as an active member of Princeton Engine Company No. I.

Officers honored for fire rescue

Two borough police officerS were recognized Wednesday for their “unselfish act of bravery” in rescuing residents and alerting authorities during a fire at Spruce Circle last month.

Patrolman Christopher Boutote and Sgt. Ronald. Holliday received certificates of appreciation from. borough officials Wednesday.

Fire Commissioner and Councilman Mark Freda commended the two officers for “their quick thinking and very quick action” during the Oct. 28 blaze at the senior citizens complex. Artist Rex Goreleigh. 84. died in the fire that erupted in his living room.

First to arrive at the early morning fire. Patrolman Boutote and Sgt. Holliday notified Princeton Township police and the Princeton Fire Department. as they evacuated and aided elderly and disabled residents from their apartments.
