Bernard ‘Red’ Glover

Construction official
WEST WINDSOR — Bernard “Red” Glover died Thursday at a health care center.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Glover had lived in Princeton since 1922.

He was a graduate of Princeton High School.

He retired this year as a construction official in Princeton Borough, where he had worked since 1959.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post No. 76 of Princeton.

He was a member of Engine Company No. 1 of the Princeton Fire Department, a member of St. Paul Church Crisis Ministry and a former member of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad. He served also as past president and secretary of the Lions Club of Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, Jeane Ryan Glover; two sons, Eric of Newtown, Pa., and Richard of West Windsor; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Glover of Penns Neck; a brother, Harry of New Buffalo, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Penns Neck Cemetery, Washington Road at Route 1, Penns Neck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 529, Princeton; or to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Princeton Chapter, c/o Marilyn Harris, Treasurer, 34 DeHart Drive, Belle Mead, N.J. 08502.
