Princeton elects new fire chief

Kenneth M. Rendall Ill of Lawrence Township was recently, elected chief of the Princeton Fire Department for next year.

A member of Engine Co. No. 3 on Chambers Street for 11 years, Mr. Rendall was elected by about 50 members of the fire department in an annual election held Tuesday. day. He will replace outgoing Fire Chief Peter Hodge.

Mr. Rendall, who served as deputy chief this year. works for a real estate company on Alexander Street in Princeton.

In other department election results, Richard McKee of Hamilton Avenue in the borough was elected deputy chief, Mr. McKee is a member of Engine Co. No. 1, on Chestnut Street.

Mark Freda of Erdman Avenue in the borough was named assistant fire chief. A member of the Hook & Ladder & Chemical Co. No. I on North Harrison Sneer: Mr. Freda also serves as a borough councilman and a member of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad.

All new -posts become effective Jan. 1, 1987.
