Smoky car fire

Princeton firefighters extinguish flames in a 1977 Ford Granada parked on Leigh Avenue near John Street Friday. Police said Marion and Nancy Craig of the 40 block of Leigh Avenue were ready to drive away at 4:44 p.m. when the engine ignited as Mr.Craig attempted to start his car. There were no injuries; however, repairs were estimated to cost $1,100. Police said they do not know what caused the fire.
