Squad names new officers

Mark Freda has been installed as the president of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad at the squad’s 43rd annual installation dinner held on Saturday.

Along with Mr. Freda, other officers installed were vice president Joe Deering; secretary Diana Flury; treasurer Simon Pankove; captain John Seeley Jr.; lieutenants Mike Bonotto and Mark Freda; head driver Brad Stager; head trustee Bill Karch; chaplin Judy Matthies; and members at large J. Edwin Obert Jr. and Joe Derman.

A special presentation of $3,000 for rescue equipment was made by Mary Van Hom, president of the Ladies Auxiliary, to the squad. The money was raised by the 23 members of the auxiliary.

Ed Obert, past captain, was given a standing ovation by the members and guests for his efforts as captain from 1975 through 1981.
