Fire empties chemistry building

Princeton Hook & Ladder’s “cherry picker” lifts an exhaust fan into position in the back of Frick Laboratory following a quickly extinguished fire last Thursday afternoon that resulted in minor burns to a graduate student and the threat of toxic gasses filling the building. The fire, started when the student, Robert Henrie, dropped a large flask containing a highly flammable solvent, was put out by students working in adjoining labs.
