Return lifemobile to medical center

To the editor:

The removal of the lifemobile unit from the Medical Center at Princeton is viewed with utmost concern and alarm by the Montgomery Township First Aid Squad.

Our township is now without an advanced life support unit that can consistently respond within the critical eight minutes. No amount of effort on the part of our well-trained volunteer first aid squad will be able to save those cardiac arrest victims or severe trauma cases which require advanced life support for resuscitation. Some people in Montgomery Township will needlessly die.

I hope those in positions of responsibility will reconsider their options. Either bring back the lifemobile unit to its base at Princeton Hospital or provide that community with an additional life support team.
