Fire Extinguished

Princeton High School students were chased into the rain on Monday afternoon when a fire alarm sounded in the building. Princeton fire crews arrived to handle the smoky blaze which turned out to be a smoldering stack of papers in a crawl space running under the main auditorium and its lobby. The papers were quickly extinguished and the students were sent home at 2:30 p.m. Fire officials had not determined how the papers had been ignited.
