New Pumper in Town

Christmas came late for Princeton’s fire chief. Ray Wadsworth (left), and it has been two years in getting here. Chief Wadsworth’s present, one that will serve all members of the community, is this Mack pumper truck delivered on Monday by Mack sales manager Bob Fessbender (right). Chief Wadsworth said the $138,000 truck, which was ordered in June of 1980, can pump 1,000 gallons per minute, a significant increase over the old pumper’s ability. The new pumper can also store up to 500 gallons of water, he added. The truck is being paid for jointly by borough and township residents.
